Trading Prohibition Policy.
This policy describes who may not use Poly Portfolio, what trading conduct is prohibited on the service, and the restrictions we apply to our own team. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
If you can't lawfully trade on Polymarket, you can't trade through us; if conduct would be abusive on an exchange, it's prohibited here; and our team doesn't trade on information you don't have.
1. Restricted persons and jurisdictions
You may not use Poly Portfolio to purchase or manage positions if any of the following apply:
- You are located in, a resident of, or accessing the service from a jurisdiction where event-contract trading or use of Polymarket is prohibited or restricted.
- You are under 18 years of age.
- Your Polymarket account is suspended, restricted, or otherwise not in good standing.
- You are using a VPN, proxy, false information, or any other means to conceal your location or identity in order to circumvent these restrictions. Circumvention is itself a violation, independent of whether the underlying trading would have been permitted.
2. Prohibited trading conduct
The following conduct is prohibited when using Poly Portfolio, whether carried out through our interface, through your direct Polymarket access, or in combination:
Market manipulation
Any attempt to create a false or misleading impression of price, probability, or activity in a market — including spoofing (placing orders you intend to cancel), layering, painting the tape, or coordinating trades with others to move a price.
Wash trading and self-dealing
Trading with yourself across accounts, or executing offsetting trades with a counterparty, to fabricate volume or activity.
Trading on material non-public information
Buying or selling contracts on the basis of confidential information about the event's outcome that is not available to the public — for example, advance knowledge of an unannounced decision, result, or data release obtained through a position of access. This applies regardless of whether the underlying market or jurisdiction formally regulates "insider trading" in event contracts.
Outcome interference
Holding a position on an event whose outcome you can materially influence or decide, or trading on an event in which you are a participant, official, or decision-maker.
Exploiting service errors
Knowingly exploiting a pricing error, stale data, sync failure, or software bug in Poly Portfolio for trading advantage, rather than reporting it. We treat good-faith reports generously and exploitation as a terminable violation.
Circumvention of Polymarket's rules
Anything prohibited by Polymarket's terms or trading rules is equally prohibited when executed through Poly Portfolio. Routing an order through our interface does not launder conduct that would be barred on the exchange directly.
3. Monitoring and enforcement
We monitor for violations of this policy using order patterns, account signals, and location indicators, and we act on credible reports. Depending on severity, enforcement may include: warning, suspension or termination of your Poly Portfolio account, revocation of your API connection on our side, and reporting to Polymarket or to legal authorities where required. We cannot reverse or cancel trades — your positions live on Polymarket — and termination of your Poly Portfolio account does not affect positions you already hold there.
Polymarket separately enforces its own rules and can act against your exchange account directly; nothing in this policy limits what Polymarket may do.
4. Reporting violations
If you believe someone is manipulating a market, trading on inside information, or otherwise violating this policy, report it to support@buypolyportfolio.com. Include the market, the approximate time, and what you observed. We review every report, though we can't share investigation outcomes for other accounts.
